Avalon Queen for a Day, SC, FCh
DOB: 8/26/03
Day comes from Sandra Moore (Avalon), and we can not thank her enough for sharing this spectacular bitch with us. She is a very talented coursing dog, excelling in a variety of venues. Day is FC, LCM, OFC (1 AK), and V-FCh pointed.
Day is unmistakably feminine, incredibly quick, has a flexible back, dense silky coat, and very sweet disposition. She keeps us entertained with her toothy grins, pogo-like bouncing, and silly sleeping postures.

A silly but typical sleeping position, shown here after a 15+ mile day in the field. (Jan 07)

“Formal” Pictures

Day doesn't really see the point to stacking, but sometimes we manage to have the camera when she's in the mood. In Oct 07 she took 2nd in Open two days in a row.

She has a lovely, light sidegate (Oct 07,
handled by Elaine Summerhill of DM Greyhounds).

On the move at home
(Dec 06).

Shown here on her 5th birthday - as lovely as ever (8/08).

Day's type is exceptional: short back, long loin, and beautiful angles. She is 28-1/2" tall, 65#, scissor bite, black pigmentation, and is sound and balanced. She is fast, agile, will course and catch both plastic and live game, and has a wonderful temperament. Click to see Day's pedigree and health clearances.
Day is the lightest mover imaginable, liquid-quick, and an irrepressible grinner. In 2011 we plan to continue working on her MC and V-FCh.
